Harbor Club

Harbor Club on Lake Oconee is a prestigious, gated community renowned for its award-winning golf course designed by Tom Weiskopf and Jay Morrish.

Welcome to Harbor Club on Lake Oconee

Vacation-style living deep in the Georgia hills with resort amenities and luxury golfing.

Life winds down in this high-class resort atmosphere on the shores of Georgia’s second-largest lake. Embracing the luxury of an award-winning golf community feels too good to be true, but it is. Harbor Club on Lake Oconee is your port in the storm, with the promise of hospitable neighbors and award-winning homesteads on the shimmering waters of an eclectic golfing community.

Those who embody the Harbor Club spirit are the earnest fishers, the social butterfly, the pickleball champion, the event planner for that family wedding, and the golfer. Golfweek’s State-by-State Best Courses You Can Play list ranked the Harbor Club’s course in the top four in 2017. Designed by the inspired duo Weiskopf-Morrish, the greens maintain their mission for the architecture to affect the land’s natural beauty as minimally as possible. The cool air bouncing off of the lake makes for ideal playing weather all year round, and the waterside scenery livens up any round of 18 holes.

What to Love

  • 1,000 acres of “staycation” living
  • An exclusive gated community with the state’s finest shoreline
  • Private vistas for hosting elegant events
  • A Clubhouse Restaurant for upscale dining and craft cocktails

Local Lifestyle

The golf is non-stop here at the Harbor Club, and the skill level needed to master the course makes it the perfect location for year-round competitions. The measured Georgia climate provides consistently ideal conditions to stay on the green no matter the season. Tournaments are frequent, but few are as rewarding and prestigious as the Harbor Club Shootout. Starting late in the fall, the Shootout introduces competitors to the invigorating challenge of the 18 holes Weiskopf and Morrish outlined so long ago.

But not everyone lives to put. Some of the Harbor Club area’s happiest residents get fulfillment from the lake’s endless adventure potential. Fishing, jet skiing, and walking along the pier as the sun sets on another perfect day are all possibilities. For something special, like a family birthday celebration or an unforgettable wedding, rent out the Lighthouse Point Pavilion and enjoy their affluent catering services and their staff’s above-and-beyond service. This intimate venue boasts an indoor and outdoor space for receptions and conferences.

Dining, Entertainment & Shopping

If you see a well-stocked bar, fresh ingredients on your plate, and a dock full of hungry sailors, you’re at The Boathouse. The charming lakeside eatery charms and delights locals and visitors and is a staple of the Harbor Club experience. Dining is offered indoors and outdoors all season long, the perfect backdrops for unforgettable evenings with friends and family by the water.

An afternoon on Main Street will quench your thirst for downtown shopping and colorful entertainment. Shops with handcrafted gifts like Genuine Georgia and Murphy's Gifts and More contribute to the thriving arts scene and help keep the dollar in the Greensboro community. The Pink Stitch Boutique and Maggie Lane are a must for any dedicated shopper looking for high-end fashion and exclusive stock.

Things to Do

The wonderful people who color this community are always looking for a reason to gather together in fellowship. And an upscale festival with imported wine and international cuisine is the best reason to gather. That’s why when spring comes, the Ritz-Carlton Reynolds in late March is the place to be for the annual Lake Oconee Food & Wine Festival! Two hundred rare and sought-after wines are available for tasting, and liquors from all over the world in this three-day affair meant for the finest clientele.

Fellowship aside, members of our proud neighborhood value charity and give back to their community in a big way. St. Mary's Good Samaritan Hospital receives praise and big-ticket donations yearly at an annual black-tie fundraiser known as the Good Samaritan Heart & Soul Gala. The giving nature of the everyday Harbor Club resident confirms the authenticity and kind heart of the ideal community member.

Schools

Greene County Schools’ motto tells us to “start here and go far.” Year after year, they keep that promise that each brimming graduate enters the real world.
