Every Fourth of July is special, but this year’s celebration carried even greater meaning as our nation marked America’s 250th birthday.
One of my favorite traditions each year is hosting our annual Fourth of July celebration. There’s something magical about seeing children running across the lawn, conversations lasting well into the evening, and everyone pausing to appreciate the beauty of a summer night by the lake.
This year’s celebration was made even more memorable by the music of our daughter, Remi Baker, and the talented Ethan Hanzlik who delivered a beautiful performance as the sun set over the water, creating one of those unforgettable moments that reminds you music has a way of bringing people together. Adding to the energy of the evening, the Emerald Empire Band returned once again, bringing their signature fun, high-energy live music that kept guests dancing and smiling throughout the night.
Our celebration would not be complete without great food, and once again Lee Epting Catering delivered their thoughtfully prepared American Southern fare which perfectly complemented the celebration.
As darkness settled over the lake, everyone gathered along the shoreline for the grand finale. Fireworks exploded across the sky, their reflections dancing across the water while children cheered and adults paused to soak in the moment.
It was a breathtaking reminder of the beauty of this country and our community.
Living at Lake Country has always been about more than beautiful homes or spectacular lake views. It’s about neighbors becoming lifelong friends and creating traditions that families look forward to year after year.
